Great Falls Parkout
Dranesville Community Trash and Recycling, Inc., long known as the Great Falls Parkout, is a private non-profit organization providing Great Falls, Virginia residents a traditional trash/recycling "parkout", for an annual fee, as a cost-effective alternative to residential curbside pick-up.
Our trash/recyclables are picked up on Saturday mornings from 8 am-12 pm at the Great Falls Elementary School parking lot at 701 Walker Road. Bring your recyclables/bagged trash at that time!
Membership Dues

The 2023-2024 annual dues are $330 (no increase from last year)

The membership year runs from July 1 - June 30

Renewal notices are emailed to existing members each May

New members can join anytime! (The annual fee of $330 is due if joining before 9/30/23.)

Joining in the middle of the membership year? We have prorated fees for new members:

$250 (joining between 9/30/23 - 12/30/23)

$170 (joining between 1/1/24 - 3/31/24)

$85 (joining between 4/1/24 - 6/30/24)

To join the Parkout, click the button above to fill out our Google form with your contact info and license plate number(s) for the vehicle(s) you plan to use for the Parkout.
Upon submitting the form, you'll then see the PayPal link for online payment (via credit card, bank account debit or your PayPal account) and also our address if you prefer to pay by check (via USPS or your bank's check-writing service).
Upon payment, we will email you and also mail hang tag(s) for your vehicle(s) for the membership year. (Please check your junk mail folder and add us to your contacts!)

Glass Recycling
Fairfax County does not accept glass recycling from any trash/recycling hauler, including curbside providers and the Parkout. The county asks Great Falls residents to bring glass bottles/jars to the purple recycle bins at the Great Falls Library parking lot. (Place other types of glass in your Parkout trash.)
Timing your Trip
We have professional, helpful and cheerful attendants at our trucks.
Your arrival before 11:50 am is a big help to them!
At closing (12 pm), our attendants clean up the parking lot, configure their trucks for transit, then travel to the I-66 Transfer Station in Fairfax, VA prior that station's 1 pm closing.
Also, note that "dumping" is a Fairfax County violation -- please do not leave trash/recycling at the Parkout location before the trucks arrive at 8 am, or after they leave at 12 pm.

Weather emails: On the extremely rare occasion that there is such severe weather or substantial snow in the forecast that holding the Parkout would be unsafe for our members or attendants, the Parkout will send an email to all members on the Friday afternoon before the Saturday in question.
Invoicing emails: Annual invoices are sent out by email each year in May.
